Job Title: Director, Learning & Development

Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm

SUMMARY:

The role leads the strategy, design, and delivery of enterprise learning programs that build skills, strengthen performance, and enhance the team member experience across the organization. This role ensures that system wide learning solutions support organizational capability needs and help the organization remain a place where team members learn, grow, and thrive.

The position oversees the Riedman Training Center, including its technology, training facilities, and operational logistics. This includes leadership of New Employee Orientation, workforce development pathways, professional skills programs, and ongoing learning experiences that support internal mobility and continuous development.

This role is a key leader within the Culture & Development Team, a Center of Excellence within the People Team, responsible for advancing belonging, team member experience, learning, leadership development, and talent mobility.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

People Leadership:

• Effectively recruits and retains talent for continuous support of aligned business areas.
• Fosters a team-based environment that collaborates across multiple disciplines to focus on continuous improvement and engagement.
• Monitors and recognizes performance of people and supports people in professional development.
• Supports workplace well-being and workplace safety.
• Sets priorities, provides coaching, and creates a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
• Builds strong partnerships with leaders across RRH and the People Team.

Strategic Leadership & Learning Vision:
• Under the direction of the leadership, leads system-wide learning initiatives that strengthen team member performance, engagement, growth, and retention.
• Develops and executes the enterprise Learning & Development strategy, aligned to organizational priorities and workforce capability needs.
• Ensures learning solutions support the full team member lifecycle—from onboarding to growth and development.

Program Design & Delivery:
• Oversees the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of core learning programs, including New Employee Orientation, workforce development pathways, professional skills offerings, and internal mobility development initiatives.
• Ensures learning programs are inclusive, scalable, modern, and aligned with adult learning principles and organizational culture.
• Guides development of multimodal learning experiences, including inperson, virtual, microlearning, and eLearning formats.

Stakeholder Engagement & Consultation:
• Partners with stakeholders throughout People Resources and operational leaders to identify learning needs and recommend solutions that strengthen performance and capability.
• Serves as a trusted advisor on learning strategy and team member development initiatives.
• Ensures stakeholders have clarity on timelines, scope, resources, risks, and dependencies for Learning & Development initiatives.

Riedman Training Center Oversight:
• Oversees daily operations and infrastructure for the Riedman Training Center.
• Ensures learning environments are equipped, efficient, and optimized for highquality learning delivery.
• Leads coordination of special programs and highvisibility learning events.

Enterprise Program Ownership:
• Leads systemwide New Employee Orientation design, delivery, and continuous enhancement.
• Directs learning-related components of team member engagement and experience initiatives.
• Supports internal mobility through development pathways, readiness programs, and skillbuilding initiatives.

Operational Excellence & Measurement:
• Applies project-management principles to ensure learning programs are executed effectively and on schedule.
• Oversees learning data, reporting, and evaluation to assess impact and inform continuous improvement.
• Manages budgets, resources, and vendor partnerships related to Learning & Development programs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • 5+ of progressive experience leading learning & development functions within a large, complex organization required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree preferred in education, organizational psychology, human resources, learning sciences, or a related field.

  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire, influence, and collaborate at all organizational levels.

  • Deep knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, learning science, and change facilitation.

  • Experience developing learning programs aligned to organizational strategy, capability needs, and workforce readiness.

  • Skilled in facilitation, learning operations, and overseeing the delivery of multimodal learning experiences.

  • Excellent communication, relationshipbuilding, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and eLearning tools such as Articulate Rise or Storyline.

  • Creative, adaptable, and solutionsoriented approach to learning and development.

  • Healthcare experience preferred but not required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

PAY RANGE: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, clinical licensure date, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
