LVN Specialist at University Health System- San Antonio – San Antonio, Texas

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides supervision to assigned LVN personnel in the Bexar County Juvenile Detention Center and Cyndi Taylor Krier Juvenile Correctional Treatment Center. Assists in ensuring compliance with the established policies and procedures of the University Health and Detention Health Care Services.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Graduation from an n accredited school of vocational nursing is required. Must have at least three years experience in health care delivery. One year experience in a supervisory/management position within a health care setting is preferred. Certification in Correctional Health Care is preferred.

LICENSURE
Must possess a current license to practice Vocation Nursing in the State of Texas. Certification in Correctional Health Care is preferred. Must have a current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider or AHA BLS Instructor Provider card.
