Position Summary

The HR Administrator serves as a key operational resource for the Human Resources department, supporting a wide range of HR functions including recruiting coordination, onboarding, employee records management, benefits administration, compliance, and HR communications. This role requires a detail-oriented, people-first professional who is comfortable working across multiple dealership locations and can effectively support both headquarters’ operations and field-level store needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate full-cycle recruiting activities including job postings, applicant tracking, interview scheduling, and candidate communications across all ZT Automotive locations.

• Support new hire onboarding, ensuring all documentation, system access, and orientation activities are completed accurately and on time.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS system, ensuring data integrity and compliance with applicable laws and company policies.

• Assist with benefits enrollment, changes, and employee inquiries, acting as a liaison with benefit providers as needed.

• Support payroll processing by collecting, verifying, and submitting timekeeping data and personnel changes to the payroll team.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across TX, GA, AL, and FL, including required postings and reporting.

• Assist in the administration of employee leave programs including FMLA, PDA, and state leave laws.

• Draft and distribute HR communications including offer letters, status change notices, and policy updates.

• Assist the Director of HR in planning and executing HR projects, training initiatives, and culture-building activities.

• Serve as a point of contact for general employee HR questions and escalate complex matters appropriately.

• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with the highest level of professionalism and discretion.

• Travel between Houston HQ and Ron Carter stores in Alvin, TX on a regular schedule (approximately 1–2 days per week).

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

• Minimum 2–3 years of HR administrative or generalist experience; automotive or multi-site retail experience a strong plus.

• Working knowledge of employment law across multiple states (TX, GA, AL, FL) preferred.

• Experience with Paylocity; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a professional, approachable demeanor.

• High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.

• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative HR team.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required for regular travel between Houston HQ and Alvin, TX stores).

• Professional appearance and strong work ethic.
