We are looking for a Thin Film Engineer to join our team.
The Thin Film Engineer will Oversees the end-to-end processing of thin-film components, ensuring both catalog standards and custom client specifications are met with precision.
As a Thin Film Engineer, you would be excepted to:
· Assist manufacturing and support the processing of thin film products to include metallization coatings in PVD & E-Beam metal deposition tools and electroplating baths.
· Executes cross-functional projects to optimize manufacturing workflows, directly improving wafer yield and reducing unit die cost.
· Subject matter expert on substrate cleaning, metal deposition tools, and electroplating baths.
· Operation and utilization of metrology instruments for thin film characterization and measurements
· Identifying root causes to manufacturing problems and driving solutions using data-based methods.
· Developing and maintaining documentation (work instructions and process travelers) for thin film processes and equipment.
· Maintaining SPC program for thin films and driving improvements in Cp, Cpk.
We are looking for someone who:
· Thin film metallization coating experience on thin film substrates in a manufacturing environment.
· E-Beam, DC sputtering and electroplating experience preferred.
· Expertise in engineering robust, scalable processes for metal deposition, ensuring consistent film quality and performance.
· Diagnoses and resolves complex hardware and process-related failures on PVD/CVD metal deposition tools.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Expertly translates complex design specifications into actionable instructions for Production Technicians, fostering a culture of mutual respect and technical excellence.
· Meticulously reviews technical documentation and reports to ensure 100% accuracy before final submission
· Computer proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint)
· Minimum Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline.
· Strong analysis skills using tools like Minitab, JMP, R or Excel to solve problems.
· Strong sense of confidentiality & ethical conduct.
· Ability to take direction and follow procedure.
