Investigator's Assistant Intern at Beaufort County South Carolina – Hampton, South Carolina

The purpose of this internship is to assist investigators in preparing and organizing information for trial.

The essential functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the class as necessary.

• Will rearrange and organize the storage units where pertinent, confidential information is stored.
• Creates binders with discovery information.
• Ensure that client information is updated in Defender Data.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Must currently be enrolled as a student in a college program.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Physical demands refer to the requirements for physical exertion and coordination of limb and body movement.

• Performs sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or sustained keyboard operations.

All applicants tentatively selected for a position with Beaufort County will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for illegal use of drugs and to a background check prior to appointment.
