About This Position
Commercial Lines Account Manager
This is a newly created role due to growth with an insurance agency in Naples, FL. We’re seeking a skilled Commercial Lines Account Manager to help service a book of primarily middle market business. In this role, you’ll work closely with producers and leadership to manage accounts, deliver strong client service, and have opportunities to grow within the agency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and service a book of commercial lines business, including both new and renewal accounts
- Market and remarket accounts as needed, obtaining quotes and negotiating with carriers
- Prepare proposals, summaries of coverage, and client-facing materials
- Handle policy processing including endorsements, certificates, audits, and billing inquiries
- Review policies for accuracy and ensure proper coverage placement
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and internal team members
- Assist producers with account rounding and identifying cross-sell opportunities
- Stay up to date on market trends, carrier appetites, and coverage changes
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Commercial Lines Account Manager within an insurance agency
- Active 2-20 license (or ability to obtain quickly)
- Experience working with middle market accounts preferred
- Familiarity with an agency management system (Applied EPIC preferred)
- Strong knowledge of commercial coverages (Development & Construction, GL, Property, Auto, Umbrella and Surety.)
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently in a smaller, team-oriented environment
- Excellent communication and client service skills
