Position Description:

Are you looking to gain hands-on experience working with a Finance and Accounting team in a fast-paced corporate environment? This summer intern role will provide exposure to key financial processes, including month-end close, financial reporting, data analytics, and financial systems improvement initiatives.

The intern will assist with meaningful projects that support improved financial visibility, reporting efficiency, and decision-making across the organization. This internship is designed to provide practical experience in corporate finance, financial systems, and business analytics.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations & Month-End Close

• Assist the Accounting team during the monthly financial close process
• Support preparation and entry of journal entries under the guidance of the accounting team
• Assist with refreshing and organizing general ledger detail to support financial reporting and analysis

Business Intelligence & Data Analytics

• Assist in the development and enhancement of Power BI dashboards to support financial and operational reporting
• Help translate business requirements into meaningful data visualizations and reporting tools
• Work with Finance and business stakeholders to identify key metrics and performance indicators

Finance Projects

· Reporting and Data Governance:

• Evaluate how reports are currently used and identify opportunities to improve reporting insights and efficiency
• Recommend enhancements to improve reporting relevance and decision-making value

· Financial Systems & Process Improvements:

• Assist with a revamp and documentation of the Chart of Accounts, supporting improved financial reporting and consistency
• Help build and maintain a vendor master listing to improve data governance and financial visibility
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Accounting, IT, and Operations
• Present findings and recommendations to finance leadership upon completion of key projects

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting or related field
• Must have completed junior year of undergraduate studies and be entering senior year
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Interest in financial reporting, data analytics, and business intelligence
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Power BI or other BI tools is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
