About This Position
Tax Manager (Construction) - Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)
Who: A confidential, nationally respected public accounting firm seeking an experienced tax professional with construction industry expertise.
What: Manage and review complex construction-related tax engagements while providing consulting, client service, and staff development.
When: Hiring now for a full-time management role.
Where: Hybrid position based in the Atlanta metro area with partial remote flexibility.

Position Overview:
The Tax Manager (Construction) will oversee complex tax compliance and consulting engagements for construction clients, mentor staff, and contribute to the growth of the firm’s specialized tax practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review complex federal and state tax returns.
- Delegate and supervise tax preparation and research assignments.
- Prepare complex business income tax returns.
- Deliver tax consulting, projections, and planning services.
- Manage client relationships and service responsibilities.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting; Master’s in taxation preferred.
- Active CPA license required.
- Construction industry tax experience required.
- 4–7 years of progressive public accounting experience.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Strong Excel skills; experience with tax workflow software a plus.
- Excellent communication abilities and a self-directed, ambitious mindset.
