About This Position

Description:

Assembly Technologies is looking for a talented Inventory Specialist to join our growing team. The Inventory Specialist is responsible for the accurate and efficient management of all inventories within the electronic manufacturing facility. This includes receiving, storing, and distributing electronic components, ensuring proper stock levels, conducting cycle counts and physical inventories, and maintaining accurate inventory records in the company's ERP system. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and Inspection:
    • Receive incoming shipments of electronic components, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders and specifications.
    • Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials for any damage or defects.
    • Accurately enter receiving data into the ERP system, ensuring proper documentation and traceability.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP system, including stock levels, locations, and movements.
    • Conduct cycle counts and physical inventories on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
    • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including shortages, overages, and damages.
    • Manage inventory levels to optimize stock turnover and minimize carrying costs.
    • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Order Fulfillment:
    • Pick and pack orders for production, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to the production line.
    • Coordinate with production planning to ensure timely availability of materials.
    • Investigate and resolve any production delays related to inventory issues.
  • Warehouse Operations:
    • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, ensuring proper storage and handling of materials.
    • Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of warehouse equipment.
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize inventory processes and efficiency.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory management or a related field in a manufacturing/warehousing environment.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft office is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control principles and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time man
    agement skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 25-30 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and walk for periods at a time within a temperature and humidity controlled warehouse
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
