About This Position
The national offices of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), A Corporation (“A Corp”) “PC(USA)”, based in Louisville Kentucky, serve with mid-councils, congregations, worshipping communities, and partner organizations to carry forth the mission of Jesus Christ. Position Summary:
Assists the Communications Manager in the design, formatting, and production of Presbyterian Women (PW) print and electronic communications. Provides support in maintaining digital resources, executing promotional materials, and facilitating internal workflows related to communications. Participates in developing communication strategies and plans. Helps ensure PW's visual and brand consistency across platforms.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Design and Formatting
- Designs and formats PW resources using Mac-based platforms and appropriate software.
- Prepares files for print and digital production; supports scanning, color correction, image sourcing, and prepress.
- Revises layouts and templates per the communications manager and editorial feedback.
- Digital Resource Management
- Monitors listings and resources on the PW Shop and PC(USA) Store to ensure accuracy.
- Supports maintenance of the PW digital archive and subscriber email lists.
- Prepares and sends eBlasts and newsletters.
- Zoom and Virtual Meeting Support
- Works with PW Communications Manager to provide logistical and technical assistance for online meetings (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams), including troubleshooting.
- Editorial.
- Assists the production team with writer contracts and follow-up, editorial work, magazine indexing, proofreading, copywriting, and other editorial tasks as requested by the executive director.
- Churchwide Gathering (CWG) Support
- Supports production of CWG-related communications and interpretive materials.
- Assists in planning, creating, and facilitating promotional and exhibit materials.
- Team Participation and Collaboration
- Participates actively in staff meetings, committees, and task groups.
- Collaborates with colleagues to support PW’s mission and maintain high communication standards.
- Shares creative ideas and technical skills to enhance team output.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
- An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in graphic design, multimedia, communications, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a design or production or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working with printers and other vendors
Technical Skills
- Expertise with Mac OS and software including Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Microsoft Office, and QuarkXPress.
- Familiarity with digital content platforms, email marketing tools, and basic website maintenance.
- Experience preparing materials for print or electronic publication.
- Proofreading and copyediting skills.

Other Qualifications
Availability for occasional evening and weekend work as required. Minimal travel may be required to attend professional or PW events.
