Position Summary
Talantage, LLC is seeking a full-time Charge Registered Nurse (RN) to provide leadership and clinical oversight during assigned shifts within a correctional healthcare setting. The Charge RN is responsible for supervising nursing and support staff, coordinating patient care, and ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality healthcare services.
This role works under the direction of the Director of Nursing (DON) and/or Nursing Supervisor and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to assess and address the physical, psychological, and social needs of patients.

Position Summary
Talantage, LLC is seeking a full-time Charge Registered Nurse (RN) to provide leadership and clinical oversight during assigned shifts within a correctional healthcare setting. The Charge RN is responsible for supervising nursing and support staff, coordinating patient care, and ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality healthcare services.
This role works under the direction of the Director of Nursing (DON) and/or Nursing Supervisor and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to assess and address the physical, psychological, and social needs of patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide supervision and leadership to nursing and support staff during assigned shifts
- Coordinate and oversee daily clinical operations to ensure continuity of care
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide clinical guidance in urgent situations
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and healthcare regulations
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to appropriate medical personnel
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR)
- Delegate tasks appropriately and ensure staff accountability and performance
- Support staff training, orientation, and ongoing development
- Promote infection control practices and maintain a safe, secure environment
- Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, providers, and administration
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); BSN preferred
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Current tuberculosis (TB) screening/documentation
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in a hospital, outpatient, or long-term care setting preferred
- Prior charge nurse or leadership experience preferred
- Experience in correctional healthcare preferred
- Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screening
- Correctional facility setting
- Requires adherence to strict safety and security protocols
- Fast-paced environment requiring strong clinical judgment and decision-making
