This role offers an opportunity to leverage your underwriting expertise to drive growth and optimize risk management for management and professional liability products. You will collaborate closely with brokers, internal teams, and other stakeholders to deliver competitive quotes, ensure account success, and contribute to product development. The position blends analytical rigor with relationship management, allowing you to shape product offerings while exceeding performance and revenue goals. You will serve as a trusted advisor to brokers, enhance adoption of solutions, and provide strategic feedback to improve underwriting practices. - Underwrite management and professional liability accounts efficiently and accurately, achieving and exceeding performance goals.
- Price accounts competitively, following established procedures, and provide timely, thoughtful communication with brokers.
- Collaborate with fellow Risk Engineers to analyze complex exposures and identify opportunities for product improvement.
- Provide market feedback to inform enhancements in rates, terms, policy forms, and coverage options.
- Manage broker relationships to ensure continuous engagement and account growth.
- Represent the company at industry events and broker meetings, sharing insights and promoting solutions.
- Contribute to the development of tools, documentation, and processes that strengthen underwriting and distribution capabilities.
- 3–8 years of underwriting experience in management liability, professional liability, or related specialty insurance products.
- Strong network of brokers, carriers, underwriters, or clients in the relevant insurance space.
- Expertise in policy forms, rating procedures, applications, endorsements, and coverage analysis.
- Proven ability to build and maintain profitable partnerships with brokers and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales, revenue, or account performance targets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-velocity environment with flexibility to travel occasionally (minimum once per month).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; relevant work experience of 4+ years preferred.

- Competitive salary range: $120,000 – $170,000, based on experience, location, and market data.
