About This Position
Position Summary
This role is responsible for ensuring that all incoming aircraft documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant prior to maintenance commencement, and that all completed work meets FAA regulations, manufacturer data, and Elite Aircraft Maintenance quality standards before return to service. The Quality Supervisor serves as the final technical and regulatory authority prior to aircraft release, playing a critical role in maintaining safety, airworthiness, and client confidence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Inspections
• Perform independent quality inspections of completed maintenance, repairs, alterations, and inspections prior to aircraft departure.
• Verify conformity of work performed against approved data, work orders, task cards, maintenance manuals, STCs, ADs, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure proper execution and documentation of Required Inspections and Return-to-Service authorizations in accordance with FAA regulations.
• Exercise Inspection Authorization (IA) privileges for applicable aircraft, inspections, and approvals.
Documentation Review & Control
• Review all incoming aircraft records, logbooks, maintenance history, AD/SB status, and technical documentation prior to work initiation.
• Identify discrepancies, missing documentation, or regulatory exposure and coordinate resolution with Maintenance and Customer Service teams.
• Audit maintenance entries for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance prior to final sign-off.
• Ensure proper record retention, traceability, and document control in accordance with FAA and company requirements.
Regulatory Compliance
• Ensure ongoing compliance with FAA regulations (14 CFR Parts 43, 91, 135, and 145 as applicable).
• Serve as the primary quality and compliance liaison during FAA inspections and audits.
• Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen Elite Aircraft Maintenance’s quality system.
• Support development, revision, and enforcement of internal quality procedures, policies, and checklists.
Leadership & Collaboration
• Provide technical oversight and guidance to maintenance personnel regarding regulatory interpretation and best practices.
• Complete aircraft maintenance functions, as needed, to support facility productivity goals.
• Act as a quality advocate across the organization, reinforcing a culture of safety, accountability, and compliance.
• Collaborate closely with the General Manager to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Assist in training and mentoring staff on quality standards, documentation requirements, and inspection protocols.
General:
• Ability to interact with professionalism and discretion with high profile clientele.
• Must be available for on-call hours, have open availability, and respond promptly to issues as they arise.
• Must be able to work independently and problem-solve issues as they arise.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to shift priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining a professional demeanor within a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Dedication to developing and delivering an exceptional customer experience which is at the core of Elite’s commitment to the client.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
• High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)
• Minimum 4 years of aircraft maintenance experience, with significant inspection and quality oversight responsibility (required)
• Strong working knowledge of FAA regulations, airworthiness requirements, and maintenance documentation standards (required)
• Demonstrated experience reviewing aircraft logbooks, maintenance records, AD/SB compliance, and approved data (required)
• Experience in a Part 145, Part 91, or Part 135 maintenance environment (preferred)
• Experience supporting FAA audits or conformity inspections (preferred)
• Strong organizational skills and comfort operating as the final quality authority (preferred)
Computer Skills
• Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
Certifications
• Valid driver license with clean driving record.
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate
• FAA Inspection Authorization (IA)

• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 150 pounds cumulative with assistance.
• Manual dexterity and physical strength necessary to operate tools, make adjustments and repairs, including use of hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• Inspection and repair of aircraft requires good visual acuity and eye-hand coordination.
• See differences between colors, shades, and brightness.
