Are you a seasoned nursing leader ready to shape clinical excellence, elevate standards of care, and lead nursing operations across multiple facilities?
We’re seeking a Regional Director of Nursing to provide strategic and operational leadership for nursing services across assigned regions. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality, compliant, and consistent nursing care while supporting Directors of Nursing (DONs), developing programs, and driving continuous improvement across all sites.
What You’ll Do
- Provide regional leadership for nursing services, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing policies, procedures, and clinical programs.
- Lead planning and execution of nursing orientation, in-service training, and continuing education programs.
- Ensure delivery of patient care meets professional nursing standards and regulatory expectations across all sites.
- Develop and implement the philosophy, structure, and operational framework of nursing services within the region.
- Serve as a liaison between nursing services, healthcare providers, regional leadership, and medical directors.
- Support and guide Directors of Nursing (DONs) in resolving clinical, operational, and staffing challenges.
- Monitor nursing incidents, ensuring appropriate follow-up, reporting, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with communicable disease reporting requirements and public health regulations.
- Review and update key clinical manuals (e.g., Infirmary, Hospice, Infection Control) to ensure current best practices and compliance.
- Conduct site visits to assess performance, provide coaching, and ensure consistency in care delivery.
What We’re Looking For
Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required)
Experience
- Emergency room, medical/surgical, or communicable disease experience (preferred)
- Five (5) years of supervisory experience in an acute care setting (preferred)
- Experience leading and administering nursing services in healthcare or behavioral health settings (preferred)
Licenses & Certifications
- Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice or eligible through reciprocity (required)
