Commercial HVAC/R Technician in Virginia Beach, Virginia at Waterman's Surfside Grille

Waterman's, Chix, and The Shack are seeking a skilled and dedicated team member to join our maintenance department. As an in-house repair facility, we handle all cooking, refrigeration, HVAC, and specialty equipment. The ideal candidate will possess the expertise to diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC/R systems. Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain refrigeration & HVAC equipment.
• Collaborate with manufacturers and leadership to resolve challenges efficiently.
• Replace parts, identify issues, recommend upgrades, replace filters, and sanitize equipment.
• Maintain accurate documentation, organization, and safety protocols.
• Preform monthly maintenance on all HVAC/R equipment
• In addition to these responsibilities, you will receive training as a restaurant equipment technician under the lead maintenance technician.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in a technical field in HVAC/R
• Valid EPA certification
• Basic hand tools
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record
• Flexibility for on-call rotations (nights/weekends).
• Reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications - CFESA
• Experience repairing commercial kitchen equipment
• Self-driven, independent work style

Physical Requirements:

• Comfortable lifting up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to work at heights
• Adaptability to diverse environments
