Remote Interim Financial Advisor
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Interim Controller - REMOTE. In this key role, you will drive financial governance and compliance while managing accounting oversight during a pivotal growth phase. Your leadership will be essential as you collaborate with various teams to ensure financial integrity. As a senior finance lead, you will support the organization in navigating financial complexities while maintaining operational efficiency. Your expertise will facilitate clear communication with stakeholders and help maintain proactive financial strategies throughout the coverage period.
Accountabilities- Own GAAP-compliant books and manage the monthly close process
- Ensure audit readiness and monitor cash health
- Serve as primary liaison to external auditors and tax advisors
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls across financial operations
- Oversee equity administration and investor reporting requirements
- Prepare Budget vs. Actual reporting and support departmental budget alignment
- Ensure compliance frameworks are maintained and audit-ready
- 8+ years in finance or accounting with demonstrated leadership experience
- CPA strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Deep understanding of startup financial operations and GAAP accounting
- Proficiency with Carta, QuickBooks Online (QBO), and similar tools
- Experience in a venture-backed startup environment
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills
- Able to lead independently with minimal ramp time
- Flexible work environment with flexible paid time off
- Competitive hourly rate of $125200, depending on experience
- Remote from anywhere in the United States
- 1099 contractor capacity; contractor provides their own equipment
