Dental Assistant
Abilene, TX
Schedule: M-Th: 8am to 4:40pm, Fri: 8am to 12pm
Compensation: $20 per hour, DOE PLUS bonuses!
Benefits: Medical, In-house dental, vision, PTO, sick, Holiday, scrub re-imbursement, and 401k (up to 4% match)
Job Summary:
The Dental Assistant supports the dentist in delivering high-quality patient care and ensures the dental office runs efficiently. This role involves assisting during procedures, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and helping patients feel comfortable throughout their visit.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Dentist during dental procedures
Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures
Take dental X-rays
Provide patient education and post-operative care
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Completion of an accredited dental assistant program (preferred)
Registered Dental Assistant License
1-2 of chairside experience (preferred)
General computer skills
Familiarity with dental terminology and dental procedures
Ability to take accurate vital signs and perform patient assessments
Skills and Competencies:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Outgoing personality
Attention to detail and organization
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
Basic computer skills and familiarity with dental software
Work Environment:
Clinical setting within a dental office
Requires standing for extended periods and use of dental equipment
May involve exposure to bodily fluids and strict adherence to safety protocols
