HBG Design is seeking a skilled Senior Interior Designer to contribute to the delivery of memorable design experiences for our national hospitality and entertainment clients.
This position will develop advanced level designs, have an advanced grasp of project development and production processes and have an advanced ability to work cooperatively with the Project Architect, Project Manager, and Owner. The Senior Interior Designer must demonstrate advanced interpersonal skills to lead the project team successfully through the design process.

Position Responsibilities:
• Provide day-to-day guidance to design staff in the performance of their duties.
• Regularly evaluate performance of designers, participate in performance reviews, and share assessments with Project Managers, Senior Architectural Designer, and other Senior Interior Designers.
• Lead the overall design concept development effort in concert with the Project Manager and/or Project Architect/Architectural Designer.
• Develop the interior design and graphic design for each project utilizing 2D and 3D graphic skills.
• Direct the selection of finishes and colors for each project and prepare documents for presentations.
• Coordinate the work of consultants as it related to design issues and cooperate with the Project Manager and Job Captains.
• Control design-related aspects of the project labor budget, construction and FF&E budgets, design, and design-related aspects of the construction schedules, in collaboration with the Project Manager.
The Ideal Candidate:
The Senior Interior Design position will require many hats. The candidate will work alongside architects, interior designers, and technical professionals across HBG's three offices, which include Dallas, San Diego, CA, and Memphis, TN.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate advanced communication skills and proven experience leading multi-specialty project teams through the design process while collaborating with senior design leaders and practice staff. In this role, the Senior Interior Designer will develop advanced-level designs and have a well-developed understanding of project development and production processes. A seasoned professional, the ideal candidate will demonstrate experience working with large teams in an integrated practice environment.
Qualifications:
• Registered Interior Designer.
• Bachelor's degree from an Interior Design/Interior Architecture Program.
• Minimum ten years practical experience in hospitality design with a focus on and passion for design.
• Ability to lead a team from schematic design through construction documents.
• Thorough understanding of the design process, market experience, and client expectations.
• Excellent presentation skills and communication abilities.
• Graphic and artistic ability and/or computer/technology capability in design.
The Compensation:
$100,000 - $125,000 per year.
Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, regional cost of living, experience, and qualifications.
