YWCA Walla Walla seeks a program leader for the FUN FACTORY!
SUMMARY OF DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Provide professional representation for the YWCA with program participants and the community
· Provide leadership to youth and support to Fun Factory team
· Drive Fun Factory van (must be 21+)
· Develop, plan and organize activities for outdoor recreation program
· Lead daily program activities
· Assure safety of staff and program participants
· Maintain order and discipline
· Promote the mission of the YWCA
· Keep accurate records and reports of attendance, purchases, activities and fuel use
· Shop for activity supplies
Requirements:PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS
· Ability to embrace and advance the YWCA mission of eliminating racism and empowering women
· Ability to work with diverse populations with an outgoing, friendly, welcoming manner
· Ability to develop harmonious working relationships with co-workers, participants and the public Good physical health and endurance
· Possess a valid driver license and a good driving record
· High energy level
· High comfort level for working with children
· Ability to work with groups of all sizes
· An open and creative mind
· Ability to have fun and make things fun for youth
· Ability to project a positive and professional image of the YWCA to the community
· An ability to give and receive information effectively orally and in writing
· Ability to make public presentations
· Ability to project a positive and professional image of the YWCA to the community
· Ability to perform duties with considerable independence of action and decision making and to make correct application of policies and procedures
· Ability to enforce positive behavior and to lead by example
· Ability to pass a background check
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING GUIDELINES
· Experience working with children ages 5-10 in camping, school, childcare or other activities
· Experience with arts and crafts and outdoor recreation
· Experience in leadership and organization
