About the Role
Night Auditors are the steady hand behind the scenes, ensuring financial accuracy, system integrity, and guest safety while the hotel rests. This role blends accounting precision with quiet, dependable guest service.
Responsibilities include:
- Completing the nightly audit process, balancing and reconciling daily financial transactions
- Closing the business day in the property management system and preparing audit reports
- Posting room and tax charges accurately to guest and house accounts
- Managing front desk operations during overnight hours, including late arrivals and early departures
- Serving as the primary overnight contact for guest needs, safety, and security concerns
- Maintaining a clean, organized front desk and lobby environment
- Restocking the market area and assisting with early breakfast preparation as needed
- Preparing daily reports for management review
What We’re Looking For
- Ability to reliably work overnight (third shift) schedules, including weekends and holidays
- Strong attention to detail and comfort with numbers and basic accounting tasks
- Prior hotel front desk or Night Audit experience preferred (FOSSE or Opera a plus)
- Proficiency with computers and hotel systems
- Calm, professional communication skills and sound judgment
- A self-directed, dependable work style with minimal supervision
