About This Position

GCyber LLC, is seeking a Test Engineer, to support a high-visibility federal government customer in Washington, DC. You will be part of a QA/QC team that includes a Senior Test Engineer and a Test Lead, working together to ensure the quality, reliability, and security of enterprise applications across classified and unclassified networks.

As the Test Engineer, you will:
  • Develop and execute automated and manual test cases for web applications across .NET, SharePoint, and React/Node.js platforms
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, UAT, and cross-browser/device testing to ensure application quality across environments
  • Collaborate with developers to define acceptance criteria, improve testability, and contribute to unit test coverage
  • Document test artifacts and manage defect tracking in Jira and Confluence with clear reproduction steps and evidence
  • Support accessibility (Section 508), load testing efforts, and Agile processes including standups, grooming, and release planning
  • Assist with QA/QC reporting for biweekly product reviews, including defect metrics, test pass rates, and coverage statistics.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
  • Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • IAT II certification (i.e., Security+, CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP)
  • 2-4 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance
  • Hand-on experience with automated testing using Selenium, Cypress, or a similar browser automation framework
  • Proficiency writing test scripts in JavaScript or TypeScript
  • Experience with manual test case design, execution, and defect tracking
  • Familiarity with Agile/Kanban methodologies and tools such as Jira
  • Strong written communication skills – ability to write clear test plans, bug reports, and acceptance criteria
