What Does Prolec GE Waukesha Do?
JOB SUMMARY
To perform any of the assembly processes in the following areas:
- Area 1 – Core Stacking
- Area 2 - Landing and Topping
- Area 3 - Pre-Wire
- Area 4 - Final Assembly
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assemble and mount tap switches, gauges, meters, conduit, accessories and parts.
- Wire controls and components per design specifications.
- Provide assistance to the supervisor in on-the-job orientation and training of other employees.
- Comply with all safety policies and procedures and actively participate in defined zero harm safety culture driven initiatives.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
TOOLS AND MACHINERY
Overhead cranes, jib cranes steel tapes, rules, squares, wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, hammers, fork lift, cold welder and other.
MATERIALS
Mild, stainless and alloy steel, copper, aluminum and other materials.
GENERAL
Works without direct, constant supervision and maintains a productivity level which meets or exceeds the routing standards and is acceptable to the supervisor. Able to layout materials and setup for job. Work with Vapor phase equipment. Work varies from working at ground level to working in, on top of, and around the sides of the unit which may be 6 feet or more in height.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
