Aultman Orrville Hospital, a not-for-profit critical access hospital serving Orrville, eastern Wayne County, and surrounding rural communities, is seeking a full-time Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist to deliver personalized gastroenterology care in a community-focused setting.

Position Highlights

• Full-time, hospital-employed position within the Aultman Health System
• Comprehensive Services: Balanced Gastroenterology scope of Outpatient and Hospital-Based Services
• Procedural Experience: Perform essential GI procedures such as upper and lower endoscopies and colonoscopies, with opportunities for advanced training and complex investigations.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative medical services to patients with gastrointestinal disorders.
• Perform various endoscopic procedures including, but not limited to, upper endoscopy and colonoscopy.
• Manage acute and chronic GI conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Collaborate effectively with primary care physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
• Commit to continuous professional development and stay abreast of advancements in gastroenterology.
• Actively participate in departmental and hospital committees as appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
• Completion of accredited Gastroenterology Fellowship
• Eligibility for unrestricted Ohio medical licensure
• DEA certification and hospital credentialing eligibility
• Demonstrated competency in:
  • Diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower endoscopy
  • Inpatient gastroenterology consultation
  • Management of common GI disorders
  • Preventive colorectal cancer screening programs
• Commitment to patient access, rural community care delivery, and collaborative team-based practice
