About This Position
As a Clinical Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, high-quality, and patient-centered care. Working in partnership with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, you will provide skilled, age-specific nursing care that supports positive outcomes across diverse populations.
This role reports to the Nurse Manager (or Executive DON, Ambulatory) and is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about advocacy, education, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do-
Deliver comprehensive nursing care including patient assessment, medication administration, care planning, and ongoing evaluation

Identify patient needs, develop individualized care plans, and adjust interventions to promote optimal outcomes

Serve as a patient advocate and educator, ensuring individuals and families are informed, supported, and empowered

Delegate and oversee care provided by ancillary team members in alignment with organizational policies

Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation

Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate seamless, high-quality care

Contribute to team-building initiatives and participate in quality improvement efforts

- Prefer a bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing.
- Must successfully complete the Valleywise Health New Graduate RN training program or have prior acute nursing experience demonstrating an understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Previous acute care hospital experience in the area he or she is applying for is preferred.
- Must possess a current, valid AZ RN license, a temporary AZ RN license, or a valid compact RN licensure for the current state of practice.
- Must be in good standing with the issuing Board of Nursing.
- Requires a BLS card obtained through an American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire.
- In addition, certification or continuing education may be required based on the area of practice:
- Surgical Trauma: Must have ACLS upon hire or transfer.
- Ability to work with culturally diverse people is a must.
- Bilingual is preferred.
- Must have excellent communication, time management, and customer service skills.
- Requires basic computer word processing skills (e.g., formatting, editing, printing, composing email, internet searches, etc.) to navigate through an electronic medical record using a computer successfully.
- Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
