The Purchasing Planner is responsible for executing purchasing activities and supporting material planning to ensure materials are available to meet production schedules and customer demand. This role manages purchase orders, monitors inventory levels, and works closely with suppliers and internal teams to maintain material flow and prevent disruptions.

Responsibilities
- Create and manage purchase orders for raw materials, components, and supplies to support production demand
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder points to maintain adequate stock
- Communicate with suppliers on pricing, availability, and delivery timelines
- Track and expedite purchase orders to prevent production delays
- Resolve discrepancies related to shipments, invoices, and receipts
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and inventory transactions
- Review production schedules and ensure material availability aligns with demand
- Identify potential material shortages and escalate proactively
- Enter and update lead time and open purchase order data in ERP/MRP systems
- Ensure accuracy of purchasing and inventory data within the system
- Provide updates on order status, delays, and material availability to internal stakeholders

Requirements
- High school diploma required, associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or related field preferred
- 2–5 years of experience in purchasing, planning, or a related role in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and attention to detail
