About This Position

GGG companies provide strength in sourcing, insurance, finance, logistics, food safety, and information technology, and supply the needs of retailers, distributors, food service chains, hotels, cruise lines, and food manufacturers alike.
We are seeking a Supply Chain Analyst who will report to the Senior Director of Global Supply Chain. This individual will be responsible for timely and accurate reports as well as detailed analysis of logistics operations for imported global ocean freight. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and demonstrated knowledge of systems, data entry, and cost avoidance are required.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Data review of rates received from Ocean partners
- Run optimization scenarios for determining routing guides (i.e. determining primary and secondary carriers for multiple lanes)
- Update Infor Nexus system with new carrier contracts
- Create cost analysis of alternate port scenarios by customer
- Determine optimum handling of import containers by port
- Support Ocean Procurement by registering rates for each carrier in Infor Nexus
- Conduct “cost average” studies for multiple container carriers and freight forwarders where we have a mix of rates serving one volume lane
- Find demurrage paid by carrier/by port and organize requests for refunds
- Interact as necessary with other departments (Transportation, Warehouse Ops, Finance, Product Management) to provide information relevant to their respective areas.
- Lead or participate on project teams as required.
- Perform root cause analysis in developing corrective action plans.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Other duties assigned as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3-5 years of experience within the supply chain industry
- Excellent analytical skills. Individual must be a critical thinker and problem solver with analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent problem solving ability with demonstrated experiences of managing with facts not emotion
- Excellent communication skills including listening, written, oral and group presentation
- Ability to communicate with different levels of the organization
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced fluid work environment
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 annually plus bonus
Our company will be relocating to a new corporate headquarters in Madison, NJ in Q4 of 2026. Candidates should be comfortable with this upcoming change in location.
