Organizational Responsibilities

Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Junior Project Manager to join our Operations team. In this role, you will support the project management process and assist with the planning, execution, and monitoring of operational projects. You will work closely with project managers, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Key responsibilities include coordinating project activities, tracking progress, preparing reports, managing project documentation, and assisting with problem-solving. Ideal candidates will have strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills, as well as a proactive approach to problem resolution- Perform Site supervision of work being put in place by contractor(s), provide observation and reporting during construction and closeout phases.
- Assist PMs with efforts to define and develop project scopes, objectives, and deliverables. Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and total project budgets.
- Coordinate architect and engineering visits and call-outs for observed QA/QC concerns and inspections.
- Observe and report QA/QC observations, daily progress reporting, manpower tracking, change order monitoring, issues identification, and resolution.
- Assist PM (or designee) with scheduling, coordinating, monitoring, and invoicing of 3rd party testing agencies and sub consultants.
- Interface with owners, abutters, and end users as necessary during construction to identify and coordinate potential or developing construction and safety-related issues.
- Work in harmony with various levels of counterparts from general contractors, consultants, and sub-consultants, and persons typically interacted with from design, construction, and municipal levels of project participants for project, design, and construction coordination.
- Identify and administer appropriate internal risk mitigation, quality control, and health/safety plan compliance.
- Assist with contract administration support & oversight of architects, engineers, subconsultants, contractors, subcontractors, and others.
- Assist in training, oversight, development, and mentoring of junior-level staff.
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related technical discipline required.
- 2+ years of progressive project management experience in engineering, design, or construction.
- Exposure to public infrastructure projects such as aviation, transportation, water, or civic buildings is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage small projects or components of larger programs independently.
- Proficient in MS Project, Primavera P6, or other scheduling platforms.
- Familiarity with project controls tools and techniques, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, project lifecycle phases, and delivery methods (DBB, CMAR, or Design-Build).
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- PMP, CCM, or similar certification in progress or desired.
- On-site presence is required several days per week.
- Requires travel to local project sites weekly.
The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $105,843. A hired employee will be placed within this salary range based on a variety of legitimate business reasons, including but not limited to the individual’s scope of relevant experience and geographic location.
Additional Requirements
Physical: Standing or sitting for long periods; must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times and spend extended hours in front of a computer screen.
Cognitive: Problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills; computer and software skills; and ability to read and interpret text online or in printed form.
