Primary Responsibilities

  1. Interpret and execute electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, control schematics, and BAS documentation.
  2. Install, modify, and maintain electrical and control systems supporting building automation (HVAC controls, lighting controls, energy management systems).
  3. Plan and perform high- and low-voltage installations, including control wiring, panels, sensors, actuators, and networked devices.
  4. Bend, cut, and install conduit using hand, mechanical, or hydraulic benders in accordance with project specifications.
  5. Pull and terminate wiring for control panels, motors, VFDs, lighting systems, and BAS controllers.
  6. Integrate and support BAS components including controllers, field devices, and communication networks.
  7. Perform system startup, functional testing, commissioning support, and troubleshooting of electrical and control systems.
  8. Use and maintain tools such as threaders, wire tuggers, knockout punches, drills, and testing equipment safely and effectively.
  9. Collaborate with project managers, controls technicians, and other trades to ensure seamless system integration.
  10. Maintain accountability for tools, materials, and ensure clean, organized, and safe job sites.

Position Requirements:

Must-Haves

  1. High School Diploma or Trade School Certification in Electrical Technology or related field.
  2. Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes.
  3. Proven ability to install and troubleshoot both high-voltage and low-voltage/control systems.
  4. Solid understanding of electrical circuits, control wiring, and basic automation principles.
  5. Ability to read and interpret control schematics and BAS drawings.
  6. Proficiency with hand and power tools, including conduit benders and drills.
  7. Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate with customers, contractors, and internal teams.
  8. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  9. Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
  10. Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., working at heights (up to 90 ft.), and in confined spaces.

Good to Have

  1. Journeyman Card (preferred).
  2. 5+ years of experience with both high- and low-voltage installations.
  3. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  4. Flexibility to occasionally travel outside the area (overnight stays may be required).
  5. Willingness to attend night training/educational classes as needed.
