WAREHOUSE EXPEDITOR
Job Description
Warehouse expeditors are critical to the workflow, efficiency and accuracy of each delivery for the customers we serve. They perform many duties to include preparing and organizing customer orders, assisting runners with vehicle loading and unloading, as well as semi offloading. They are the front-line experts of ensuring accurate fulfillment and delivery which is imperative to the success of CCS.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Prepare and complete warehouse orders for delivery or pickup
- Operate forklifts to move products within the warehouse and load trucks for delivery
- Facilitate organization of stock and merchandise within the warehouse by properly unboxing and storing goods in their designated location
- Maintain accurate records of products that have been stocked and provide management with an accurate representation of all goods shipped and received
- Monitor and report any missing or lost inventory to management
- Ability to operate all power equipment, warehouse technology, and others systems safely
- Oversee cleanliness of warehouse and yard at all times
- Assist with any other duties as assigned or needed
Experience and Education
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Two years working in a warehouse or similar type industry. Management experience a plus. Experience and education may be substituted for one another. Experience with forklift preferred.
Requirements:Skills, Licensing, and Certifications
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Natural leader with strong people skills
- Good moral character
- Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance
- Forklift certification a plus
- Ability to lift 75 pounds safely
- Valid driver’s license may be required
