For roles within California the range is $70,304 - $115,000 and Washington is $80,169 - $115,000.

Job Description

The Sr. Sourcing Specialist is responsible for supporting sourcing and savings strategies to assist in delivering the upstream packaging strategy, focused on site specific savings and continuous improvement targets. Use your strong packaging/display materials procurement and analytical experience to assist in diagnosing the procurement needs of each customer, while strengthening relationships with site operations, customers and vendors. The Sr. Sourcing Specialist will ensure solutions are delivered on time against operational and financial business targets. In addition, this role will assist in establishing and maintaining upstream packaging supplier relationships and measuring supplier performance against key metrics.

• Monitor and report on upstream packaging supplier performance in partnership with Global Procurement team
• Support development of strategic supplier panel by identifying new suppliers, evaluating current suppliers pricing and performance
• Collaborate on critical supplier oversight, ensuring compliance to contracted terms and relevant socially responsible regulations and policies
• Partner with suppliers to drive optimization of supplier performance and harness supplier innovation.
• Support the development of sourcing strategies to drive value across the packaging spend categories through the creation of category strategies and continuous execution of the category strategic plans
• Support the execution of a supplier segmentation sourcing strategy for spend categories that drives measurable improvements in the areas of customer satisfaction, compliance, and cost benefits - Conduct RFPs for new and existing business, analyze data and develop recommendations for upstream packaging and customer specific solutions
• Clearly understand the spend and demand landscape, leverage market intelligence & industry knowledge, drive collaboration and accelerate execution, resulting in the best available value across the packaging supply chain, quality, service levels, innovation, and cost parameters
• Use spend data analytics, market research, benchmarks, and cost modeling to identify and leverage high value opportunities that deliver innovative and sustainable value including growth and margin improvement, and operational efficiencies
• Conduct and analyzing sourcing events/RFP
• Work with suppliers to ensure compliance with contract terms and monitoring and reporting on supplier performance and savings
• Monitor and ensure the execution of common sourcing strategies across materials sites, including the use of approved suppliers
• Develop and delivers communication to clients, team members and account leadership around sourcing strategies and recommendations
• Assist in Identifying metrics, technology tools, and processes to optimize sourcing and supplier activities.
• Identify the needs for continual process improvement and innovation across sourcing, and analytics; developing a standard of metrics using benchmark data to assist in measuring sourcing performance against goals and industry best practices - Resolve any day to day or materials supplier issues that arise.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Packaging Science, Print Management, Supply Chain, Materials management, or related field, required
• 3-5 years of industry experience and deep understanding of print, display manufacturing and operations and a clear understanding of the materials marketplace, required
• Minimum 3 years Strategic Sourcing, Negotiating and Contracting, required
