ADULT PROGRAM INSTRUCTOR ASSISTANT & DRIVER at Eastern Christian Childrens Retreat – Wyckoff, New Jersey

Hope Christian Services supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through residential and day programs designed to help each person reach their full potential in a safe, supportive environment.

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Adult Program Assistant / Driver to support our Adult Training Program. In this role, you will assist with daily program activities and safely transport participants to and from the program.

• Assist instructors in delivering engaging daily program activities
• Support participants in achieving personal and developmental goals
• Safely transport participants to and from the program site
• Ensure participant safety and well-being during transportation and activities
• Assist with program setup, cleanup, and daily operations
• Provide respectful, supportive, and person-centered care

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Dependable, patient, and team-oriented
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a program setting preferred

• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and assist with participant care (including 2-person assist and use of equipment as needed)
• Ability to pass background checks in accordance with NJ Department of Human Services
• Compliance with Central Registry and Child Abuse Registry requirements
• Pre-employment and random drug screening
