Job Title: General Kitchen Assistant (Seasonal)
Location: American Spoon Foods – Preservation Kitchen, 1668 Clarion Ave, Petoskey, MI

Schedule:

• Seasonal: June–December
• Monday–Thursday | 10-hour shifts
• Enjoy consistent 3-day weekends
• No nights, no weekends, no holidays

Description:
American Spoon is looking for a dependable, energetic, and hardworking team player to join our production crew as a General Kitchen Assistant. This role is essential to keeping our kitchen operations running smoothly and efficiently. You’ll be expected to jump in wherever needed—from lifting and moving ingredients and equipment to maintaining a clean and safe workspace.

This is a physically demanding position, ideal for someone who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and take on a variety of tasks with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities:

• Support all aspects of kitchen operations as directed by the Supervisor or Manager
• Lift and move ingredients, equipment, and packaging materials (up to 50 lbs.)
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen throughout your shift
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures at all times
• Adhere to all company policies, quality standards, and safety protocols

Requirements:

• Ability to stay active and work on your feet with repetitive motion for up to 4 hours at a time
• Willingness to do any task needed to support the team and production flow
• Basic math skills
• Reliable transportation
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions
• A consistently positive attitude and good communication skills
