$10,000 Sign-On Bonus with 1 year commitment for qualifying candidates with 3-5 years experience as a paralegal working in a legal environment and 2-4 years experience as paralegal working on contracts, real estate transactions, and/or mergers and acquisitions.

This is a remote position located in AZ, NM or NV.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT IN THIS ROLE?

    You will assist our Legal Department in all phases of legal transactions, including contracts, grant agreements, financial transactions, real estate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, litigation support, and more. You will work in a cross-functional capacity and maintain general responsibilities in contract management, mergers, acquisitions, and transactions, litigation, Legal Department systems, and provide support to the Legal Department attorneys and staff in all areas as needs arise. You will ensure an exceptional level of client service is provided at all times and will be able to work with minimum supervision in performing the day-to-day work responsibilities. You will partner with your peers in providing legal services to our internal clients – the employees at Chicanos Por La Causa who empower lives everyday. You will ensure that the services CPLC provides follow all federal, state, local laws and regulations, certifications, licensing and funding requirements.

You are comfortable with communication orally and in writing with internal and external legal staff in face-to-face and video one-on-one settings, group settings, by telephone and by e-mail or regular correspondence.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

Education/Background:

Associate’s degree and/or paralegal certificate required.

Three to five (3-5) years of experience as a paralegal working in a legal environment with two to four (2-4) years of experience as paralegal working on contracts, real estate transactions, and/or mergers and acquisitions.

Alternative combinations of education and experience may be considered to meet the qualifications of this role.

Experience managing a high volume of work and complex legal matters.

Excellent oral and written communication.

Demonstrated diplomacy and ability to offer dissenting points of view in consistently constructive and positive ways.

Ability to generate respect and trust from staff while fostering cross-functional collaboration and a strong sense of teamwork.
