POSITION SUMMARY:

The Mission Advancement Coordinator supports the YMCA’s fundraising, events, and board engagement efforts. This role works closely with the Mission Advancement team and CEO to help keep projects organized, communications flowing, and initiatives moving forward.

This is a part-time, 20-hour per week position designed for someone who enjoys meaningful, behind-the-scenes work supporting a mission-driven organization. The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with consistency.

Key Responsibilities

Executive & Administrative Support (30%)

· Assist with preparation of board and committee materials

· Coordinate scheduling, communications, and documentation

· Maintain organized and confidential records

· Support leadership with follow-ups and special projects

Fundraising & Donor Support (40%)

· Support annual campaign activities and fundraising initiatives

· Assist with donor communications, acknowledgments, and tracking

· Conduct outreach to past donors

· Maintain accurate donor records in Daxko

· Pull reports and track campaign progress

· Assist with internal fundraising efforts

Event Planning & Community Engagement (30%)

· Assist with planning and execution of events and donor experiences

· Coordinate logistics, registration, and communications

· Provide on-site support as needed (some evenings/weekends)

· Support community outreach efforts and activations

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Proficient use of Microsoft Office and basic database systems

· Experience with donor or customer databases (preferred)

· Familiarity with fundraising, donor relations, or nonprofit work (preferred)

· Experience working with volunteers or in a team support role

· Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage multiple priorities

· Strong attention to detail and follow-through

· Dependable and consistent in a part-time schedule

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Willingness to work occasionally in the evenings and weekends for events

· Ability to complete all required YMCA training

· CPR/AED/O2, Child Abuse Prevention, and other required compliance training courses (provided)
