Position Overview
The Caseworker plays a vital role in supporting children and foster families within the KidsPeace foster care program, which serves youth ages 0–21. This position is responsible for managing a caseload of children and ensuring that each child receives high‑quality care, support, and advocacy throughout their placement. The Caseworker independently plans, coordinates, and implements individualized service plans for each child and provides ongoing supervision and guidance to foster families.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage Child Caseload:
Develop, coordinate, and implement individualized service plans for each child on the caseload. - Facilitate Foster Home Placements:
Independently support the placement of children into foster homes and ensure smooth transitions. - Conduct Home Visits:
Schedule and complete regular visits to assigned foster homes to provide supervision, support, and guidance to foster parents while ensuring child safety. - Child Advocacy:
Act as an advocate for each child, collaborating with internal KidsPeace staff and community service providers. - Documentation & Reporting:
Prepare and maintain all required documentation, reports, and case files in compliance with program policies and state regulations. - Support Permanency Goals:
Assist with reunification efforts or other permanency plans; attend court reviews and provide testimony as needed. - On‑Call Participation:
Take part in a rotation responding to after‑hours crises and emergency placement situations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Human Services field
- 1-2 years experience in the child welfare system preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Valid driver’s license and registered vehicle, able to work independently in the field
- Must be 21
