Nature & Scope
Working alongside the Event Service team - the Bartender will be responsible for executing and assisting the team with beverage preparations at specific White Table Catering events, with a focus on maintaining optimum beverage quality, excellent customer service, and beverage safety standards during service.

The Ideal Applicant should:
Possess strong customer service skills
Feel at home in high-volume, fast-paced environments - Catering experience is an asset
Enjoy bartending in different environments (outdoors, indoors, homes, large venues)
Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral
Be technically proficient in their craft and have a desire to continue learning and growing
Be organized, efficient and prepared. Always ahead of the game.
Possess the ability to work under pressure and maintain composure and objectivity in stressful situations
Duties and Responsibilities
Read and understand the beverage menu offerings for the event
Ensure that the beverage menu can be prepared to explained to guests
Be proactive in anticipating the needs of the client and their guests
Assist with set-up and breakdown of items required to complete the event successfully
Maintain and replenish tables accordingly
Balance and carry trays beverages and glassware
Serve, pour, and bus beverages
ID guests consuming alcohol & ensure that you abide by Serving it Right regulations
Communicate respectfully and effectively with all team members across the organization
Maintain operational tools used by the beverage service team
Contribute to a clean, sanitary and professional work environment
Cleaning and garbage/compost/recycling removal as required
Approach all tasks in line with the White Table philosophy, aesthetic and standard of excellence
Complete any other duties necessary to ensure the success of the operation
Promote teamwork, cleanliness, and professionalism (Only have work appropriate conversations and behaviors
Requirements
Valid Serving it Right certification
Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on the business’ and event-specific needs
Must be eligible to work in Canada
Phone plan with data needed; for use with workplace apps and communication when teams are split
A valid Driver’s License is an asset
Ability to bend, lift, and carry 50 pounds
Ability to stand and be mobile for an excess of 8 hours
Ability to read and interpret documents such as recipes, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
