About This Position

Fire Alarm Construction Sales Job Description

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Meet with potential clients on a regular basis both in office and at project walks.
  • Exhibit a continued commitment in pursuit of new customers by scheduling sales calls, follow up leads and utilizing outlined market strategies.
  • Perform take offs for required fire alarm scope utilizing provided bid software.
  • Produce estimates and provide fire alarm construction quotes to multiple clients in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Conduct job site surveys to ensure the accuracy of the estimate.
  • Review contract scope on projects awarded.
  • Work with design and operations team to ensure fire alarm equipment being procured matches what was sold.
  • Participate in required bid review meetings based on parameters provided.
  • Regularly attend industry functions for the purpose of networking and securing new work.
  • Provide follow up on quoted projects and maintain long lasting relationships with clients.
  • Complete required job set up functions per company policies and procedures.

Knowledge:

  • High School diploma or GED is required
  • Construction experience is a plus.
  • Fire Alarm industry licensing such as NICET is preferred.
  • Administrative experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of current codes as they pertain to fire alarm systems is preferred

Work Experience:

  • Construction experience is a plus
  • Administrative experience is preferred.
  • Fire alarm sales experience is preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Detail oriented with excellent organization skills
  • Proficient in working with Microsoft Office Products including Word and Excel
  • Proficient in PDF creation
  • Must have valid state driver's license and good driving record

Physical Requirements

  • 75% Office Setting, including sitting, some bending, some lifting, walking and viewing.
  • 25% driving
