What You Should Know About the Transport Aid:

• Typical Days and Hours are Monday- Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. No weekends or call.
• This position is based within Jefferson Regional Central Transportation Department

Job Summary:

The Transport Aid is responsible for transporting patients in wheelchairs or stretchers as requested from various areas of the hospital and safely get them to their ordered location.

Transport Aid Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR/BLS required upon hire or obtained within the 30 days of hire.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift/move patients and equipment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to hospital policies
• Provide excellent customer service by interacting with patients in a compassionate and respectful manner
• Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting a plus.
• This is a safety sensitive position.*
