Maintenance Technician

About the Role

We are looking for a dependable Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and functionality of our hotel's essential systems—from lighting and HVAC to plumbing and pool operations. You will ensure our guests experience a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment during every stay.

What You’ll Do

• Perform preventative maintenance and routine repairs across hotel facilities
• Respond to and complete work orders for mechanical and electrical systems
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment using hand tools, power tools, and testing devices
• Make structural repairs, including walls, flooring, painting, and fixtures
• Clear clogged drains, install plumbing fixtures, and perform light electrical work
• Record utility usage and equipment performance metrics
• Respond to guest maintenance requests within 15 minutes
• Collaborate with the Chief Engineer and team to ensure safe and efficient operation
• Maintain accurate logs of parts used and work performed
• Assist with inclement weather prep (e.g., clearing sidewalks)
• Participate in emergency response and fire safety drills
• Follow all safety and key control procedures
• Provide friendly, responsive service to guests at all times

• Minimum 1 year of maintenance experience required
• Hospitality or hotel maintenance experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manuals
• Comfortable using power tools and diagnostic equipment
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or in a team
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Must be able to stand for 8 consecutive hours.
• Require good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks
