We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to be a cornerstone of safety and support within our innovative psychedelic-assisted therapy programs.

About SABI Mind

SABI Mind was founded in response to the global mental health crisis and the significant therapeutic potential of psychedelic medicines. We are a dedicated, practitioner-led organization providing safe, evidence-based, and accessible psychedelic-assisted therapies for individuals who have found conventional treatments ineffective or who are seeking new pathways to healing. Our core philosophy is built on human connection: it is people healing people. Through empathy in action, our team of trained medical professionals delivers leading-edge ketamine-assisted psychotherapy for treatment-resistant mental health and chronic pain conditions.

How you can help and what we can accomplish together

As a SABI Mind Nurse, you will be the vital clinical anchor for our patients throughout their treatment journey. Your meticulous care, continuous monitoring, and empathetic presence will ensure both the physical safety and psychological comfort of our patients during their sessions. Together, we can create a secure, supportive, and transformative healing environment that upholds the highest standards of clinical excellence.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct pre-treatment nursing assessments, including vital signs and mental status evaluations.

  • Prepare and administer controlled medications in strict accordance with precise clinical protocols.

  • Provide continuous clinical monitoring of patients during treatment sessions, tracking vital signs and psychological state.

  • Offer empathetic, non-directive support and grounding techniques to ensure patient safety and comfort.

  • Manage any emergent patient reactions according to established clinic emergency procedures.

  • Monitor patients in recovery until they are medically stable and meet discharge criteria.

  • Provide clear, comprehensive verbal and written discharge instructions to patients and their support persons.

  • Maintain accurate and secure documentation, including controlled drug inventory logs and treatment records.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Active RN registration and practice permit in good standing with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

  • Current certifications in BCLS-HCP, ACLS, and Procedural Sedation/Airway Management are required.

  • Proven clinical experience in a mental health and/or chronic pain care setting.

  • Strong clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills with meticulous attention to detail.

  • A client-centred and trauma-informed approach to care.

  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and standard office software.

  • Must provide a current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
