About This Position

About the Role:

As a Periodontist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating periodontal diseases, which affect the gums and supporting structures of the teeth. Your expertise will help patients maintain their oral health and prevent tooth loss through advanced treatment options. You will work closely with dental hygienists and general dentists to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a periodontal residency program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation.
  • Current state dental license and board certification in periodontics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in advanced periodontal procedures and techniques.
  • Familiarity with the latest dental technologies and treatment modalities.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively educate and engage with patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough examinations of patients' gums and supporting structures to assess periodontal health.

  • Perform surgical and non-surgical procedures, including scaling, root planing, and gum grafting.
  • Collaborate with other dental professionals to provide comprehensive care and follow-up for patients.
  • Educate patients on periodontal disease prevention and maintenance of oral hygiene.
