Mechanical Engineer Co-Op in Buffalo, New York at Derrick Corp

Seeking an individual to join Derrick Corporation's Engineering team. We are looking for candidates that have a passion for solving problems and that enjoys hands on work.

Responsibilities

• Design of mechanical systems both from scratch as well as improvements to existing designs
• 3D CAD modeling and 2D manufacturing drawing creation
• Assembly of systems using hand tools
• Test running and troubleshooting of automated machinery
• Repair and teardown of existing machinery
• Light fabrication using power tools such as drills, grinders, saws, Bridgeport and welding

Qualifications

• Pursing Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Experience using both 2D and 3D CAD programs
• Ability to develop creative solutions to difficult problems
• Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail
• An understanding of Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems fundamentals
• MS Office experience (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
