Sr Interior Designer at Blue Heron Companies – Las Vegas, Nevada

The Senior Interior Designer is a highly experienced and creative Interior Designer responsible for overseeing all aspects of the interior design process, with the greatest focus on client experience and relationship management for luxury residential projects.

The role involves managing all aspects of the client relationship, including the assessment of client needs and wants, presenting design concepts that satisfy the client’s aesthetic preferences, specifying finishes and materials based on the client’s budgetary requirements, and adhering to project schedules.

As the primary client point of contact, the Senior Interior Designer is responsible for the highest level of interior design outcomes, completing projects with accuracy and creativity while monitoring project performance within defined hours and exceeding client expectations. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with a refined aesthetic, a meticulous eye for detail, and the ability to cultivate strong client relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize and present sophisticated interior design solutions that align with the client’s vision and seamlessly complement the brand’s architectural style and lifestyle
• Curate and specify luxury material and finish specifications and the coordination of architectural elements with interior spaces
• Confidently and effectively manage the client’s experience and expectations for multiple luxury residences by addressing challenges, providing strategic solutions, and maintaining clear and consistent communication throughout the entire project life cycle
• Collaborate with artisans, vendors, and cross-departmentally with internal teams to execute design plans consistently
• Actively and effectively design to budget, meet project milestones, and increase efficiency of design workflow
• Ability to align project design with Blue Heron Design philosophies with little oversight or direction
• Perform site visits and oversee installations for interior design as necessary, and proactively resolve any challenges to ensure seamless project execution
• Serve as a primary mentor in the development of all Interior Designers and Interior Design Assistants
• Effectively oversee and closely manage client billable hours

• Bachelor’s degree in interior design or related field
• Requires 7-10+ years of experience in luxury residential design or hospitality design including a high-end custom design portfolio
• Extensive knowledge of interior architecture, hard finishes, soft furnishings, textiles, and bespoke detailing
• Ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills, meet timelines, complete tasks, and work on multiple projects at one time with accuracy and detail
• Exceptional cross-functional collaborative attitude and drive to deliver effective results
• Routine use of software including Microsoft Office Suite, SketchUp, and Bluebeam
