Registered Nurse - ASC at US Digestive Health – Altoona, Pennsylvania

Clinical

• Deliver direct nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process.
• Assess patient upon arrival at the Center and throughout entire stay at the Center.
• Prepare rooms, equipment and supplies to accommodate the patient load.
• Assist physician with procedures as needed.
• Monitor patient before, during and after procedure. Apply appropriate monitoring devices.
• Provide patient education.
• Clean disinfect and/or sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Document on all forms as required.
• Supervise activities of LPN and/or non-licensed personnel.
• Administer medications as directed by their physician under the guidelines of the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Interpersonal

• Maintain open and positive communication with nursing personnel and other health professionals.
• Communicate with patients, families/significant others.
• Maintain professionalism within the center.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and personnel information.
• Participate in continuing education programs
• Participate on committees as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned, within the capacity of individual knowledge and expertise.

• Ambulatory surgery center

Work Location: In person

Graduate of accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.

Current State Registered Nurse Licensure

Current BLS/ACLS certification

Minimum of one year nursing experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred.
