Description: Employment Status:Variable / FlexShift:Any Day, Any Shift (United States of America)Facility:1 Health Cir - LexingtonRequisition Number:R108113 CT Technologist- Flex/PRN (Open)How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare:The CT (Computed tomography) Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis of patients.

The CT (Computed tomography) Technologist

• Operates highly specialized, technical equipment to obtain quality images.

• Works with physicians, other healthcare providers and patients.

• Performs IV contrast injections and other skills as required.

• Evaluates and positions patients.

• Interprets information needed to identify each patient’s requirement and/or specific needs and provides care per applicable policy and procedures.

• Interacts with patients, families, visitors and all members of the healthcare team to develop, coordinate and manage the plan of care.

• Assists patients with scheduling, registration, file management and computer processing Trains students and staff as assigned.

• May need to travel to other Carilion facilities to meet patient needs.

What We Require:

Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology.

Experience: none

Licensure/Certification: Must be CT registered within one year of hire. ARRT registry

Life Support: AHA-BLS-HCP

Other: Good interpersonal and technical skills, and flexibility in assignments.
