About This Position

Central City Brewers and Distillers is a craft brewery in the business of developing and selling international award-winning premium craft beer and high-quality distilled spirits brewed without compromise. Based in Surrey, British Columbia, CCBD was voted Canada Best Brewery of the Year in 2010 and 2012. Its Red Racer brand has become a cult icon among craft beer enthusiasts throughout North America. Founded in 2003 as a brewpub and liquor store in downtown Surrey, CCBD celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2013 with the grand opening of a brand new, 68,000 sq. ft. brewery and distillery on Bridgeview Drive. In 2019 we opened a 40,000 sq. ft. storage facility with approximately 2000 barrels of whiskey ageing in this facility. We are proud of being a local-Canadian Brewery that is currently expanding. In 2021 the company completed installation of a new canning line designated for contract manufacturing.

JOB SUMMARY

The Supply Chain Analyst Coordinator will provide a critical support role to the production team by executing procurement activities to ensure the optimal level of supplies and the timely deliveries of critical materials to the production or warehouse sites based on the production plan and company objectives. This is also a cross-functional role that requires cross-training in other supply chain areas. The role will require working closely with sales, operations, finance and corporate supply chain teams. This role reports to the Director of Supply Chain.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process purchase orders via the procurement system (SAP), manage inquiries, expediting and status reviews.
  • Daily review of production plan/MRP to create and manage purchase orders in alignment with manufacturing production schedules and customer demand
  • Ensure purchase orders are processed accurately and on time, with necessary follow-ups on order deliveries
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers to ensure the best value
  • Maintain and update supplier records, including pricing, key contacts, web portal login; ensuring accuracy and accessibility
  • Facilitate and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on product non-conformities and ensure timely resolution to minimize schedule disruptions due to quality concerns
  • Reconcile 3PL inventory monthly against company’s ERP records
  • Work closely with the internal warehouse team to coordinate inbound volume to meet warehouse capacity
  • Cross train with other supply chain team members to support with outbound logistics and process customer orders and sales inquiries.
  • Provide support to the warehouse team in inventory counts
  • Assist with the inventory accuracy for packaging materials and bulk ingredients in the system
  • Coordinate the transfer of materials from and to 3PL warehouses
  • Work closely with suppliers, logistics providers and custom brokers to ensure the on time delivery of orders
  • Support the maintenance of Departmental (KPI's) key performance indicators
  • Preparation and coordination of all aspects of bidding process for RF's (e.g. Request for Proposal, Request for Information, Request for Quote).
  • Manage reporting of Procurement performance metrics
  • Search for cost improvements based on supplier efficiency, use of alternate materials, leveraging purchasing power
  • Reconcile invoices to purchase order to ensure correct pricing /quantity
  • Support development and maintenance of procurement processes and procedures between all stakeholders in the business (Operations, Procurement, and Accounts Payable)

QUALIFICATIONS/DESIRED ATTRIBUTES

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from an accredited College or University and/or three to five years related experience and/or training/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the field
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Management, Negotiation, Cost Analysis, Vendor Relationships, as well as accounting terms and concepts and maintenance operations.
  • Understanding of production manufacturing in the food and beverage industry is consider an asset
  • Awareness of procurement processes, accounts payables, and receiving functions will be preferred
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with superior organizational and analytical abilities
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Working knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office (word processor, database, and spreadsheet software)
