Research Fellow, Pediatrics CEIID Research at University of Texas Medical Branch – Galveston, Texas

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Department of Pediatrics is seeking to hire a Research Fellow to provide support research activities within the Pediatric CEIID Research Division in research associated with underlying mechanisms associated with Alzheimer's disease.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Assisting in simple laboratory procedures for the Pedi CEIID Research Division.
• Routine lab performance: cell culture, virus purification, virus infection, western blot, northern blot, real-time PCR.
• Sequencing data analysis and bridge the communication between service providers and PI
• Assist PI to submit manuscript and grant preparation.
• Providing basic experimental prep work.
• Providing laboratory maintenance.
• Aiding in clerical duties associated with the Pedi CEIID Research Division.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Masters of Science Degree in related field

Commensurate with experience.
