Job Description
This role assists with residential solar installations by loading/unloading materials, working safely on ladders and roofs, mounting racking/modules/equipment, and completing AC/DC wiring while keeping sites clean and customers updated. Construction/roofing or PV experience, plan-reading, and residential electrical knowledge are a plus.
Requirements:Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
· Loading and unloading of equipment into the work trucks
· Safely climbing ladders and navigating potentially steep roof planes
· Mounting of racking, modules and electrical equipment
· Electrical wiring of solar array (AC and DC)
· Leaving job sites clean and orderly
· Providing knowledge to customers at time of install
· (Other duties as necessary)
Skills and Qualifications:
Requirements:
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
· Willingness to work through both hot and cold weather
· Valid driver's license
· High School diploma or relevant Continuing Education degree
· A willingness and ability to learn and take direction
· OSHA 10 or better (Can be received after hiring)
· Overtime and weekend work may be required
Preferred Skills:
· Prior experience in general contracting/construction type role.
· Experience working on a residential roof.
· Experience installing grid tied PV systems
· Ability to interpret plans and stringing charts.
· Knowledge of residential electrical systems

· Lift/carry materials and tools (up to ~50 lbs); load/unload trucks.
· Climb ladders and work safely at heights.
· Navigate and work on steep/sloped roofs (balance/footing).
· Perform repetitive bending, kneeling, reaching, and overhead work while mounting equipment.
· Work outdoors in heat/cold/wind; tolerate dust/noise and wear required PPE.
