Job Description

Are you ready to lead at scale?

We are seeking a visionary, operationally-minded Survey leader to drive the future of enterprise survey and geospatial operations across Bohler’s footprint. This is not a traditional office leadership role, this is a high-impact, national role designed for a leader who thrives on building systems, scaling operations, integrating technology, and influencing strategy across an entire firm.

This role offers exceptional visibility, executive collaboration, and the autonomy to shape the future of a critical business line.

The Opportunity
As the service line leader for Survey, you will own the transition from insight to execution- transforming data, operational trends, and strategic objectives into scalable action across the firm.
You will create alignment between individual offices and regions, as well as accountability, and operational excellence across a national platform. From workflow standardization and financial performance to technology integration and talent development, you will lead the Survey service line with a systems-thinking mindset and a growth-oriented vision.
You’ll collaborate directly with executive leadership while serving as the connective tissue between divisions, disciplines, operations, and strategy.

This is a rare opportunity for a proven Survey leader to leave a lasting enterprise-wide impact.

What You’ll Lead
Enterprise Survey Leadership
  • Own and evolve the enterprise survey operating model across all regions and divisions
  • Drive alignment between operations, staffing, financial performance, workflows, and growth initiatives
  • Lead with clarity, accountability, and measurable execution
Operational Excellence & Standardization
  • Establish scalable, repeatable survey workflows and performance standards
  • Reduce variability between divisions through disciplined operational leadership
  • Build systems that improve efficiency, predictability, and service delivery at scale
Data-Driven Strategy
  • Translate operational insights and financial data into strategic action plans
  • Identify risks, opportunities, and constraints before they impact performance
  • Create feedback loops and performance metrics that drive continuous improvement
Technology & Geospatial Innovation
  • Lead the evaluation and integration of emerging survey technologies including drones, scanning, and geospatial platforms
  • Scale proven technologies and workflows across the enterprise
  • Advance digital field-to-office integration and modern survey operations
Growth & Organizational Capability
  • Support intentional, scalable growth of the Survey service line nationally
  • Mentor and develop future Survey leaders across multiple geographies
  • Strengthen technical excellence, leadership capability, and business performance simultaneously
Cross-Functional Influence
  • Partner across Civil, Operations, Strategy, Business Development, and Technical teams
  • Drive integrated project delivery between Survey and Civil operations
  • Serve as a trusted and decisive leader in complex organizational environments

What You Bring
  • Licensed Professional Surveyor (LPS) in at least one state (multi-state licensure preferred)
  • 15+ years of progressive Survey leadership experience
  • Demonstrated success leading multi-office or multi-region survey/geospatial operations
  • Experience building enterprise operating models, standardized workflows, and scalable systems
  • Strong financial, operational, and strategic acumen
  • Proven ability to lead change, influence stakeholders, and execute at a high level
  • Deep understanding of modern survey technologies and digital geospatial workflows

Why This Role Stands Out
  • National-level leadership visibility
  • Executive influence and strategic impact
  • High autonomy with the ability to shape enterprise direction
  • Opportunity to modernize and scale a growing Survey platform
  • Collaborative, forward-thinking leadership environment
  • Chance to build lasting operational and cultural impact

If you’re a strategic Survey leader who can see beyond individual projects and offices — and you’re energized by building scalable systems, developing people, and leading transformational growth — we want to hear from you.
