Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Import Account Representative is responsible for supporting Import Key Accounts functions. This role serves as the first point of contact between Fracht and its customers; responsible for communication and delivering daily updates to meet customer needs. Ensure customer satisfaction, work efficiently, professionally, and maximize profits by minimizing potential for error and upselling other services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for tracking and tracing customer accounts.
  • Responsible for all billing accounts and ensure accuracy.
  • Dispatch all shipments and ensure final delivery is made
  • File AMS in a timely manner and send ISF to broker if not clearing customs.
  • Responsible for tracking customer shipments and providing updates.
  • Communicates daily with customers in a timely manner via phone and email.
  • Responsible for problem resolution and conflicts for customers and vendors.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Successful completion of high school, or equivalent, plus additional job-related coursework or specialized training.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products and Cargo Wise software(s) programs or similar.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
